'm Jan Sommeling, born in Papendrecht, The Netherlands, I am maried, two children an 3 grandschildren

I've worked 38 years as a tower crane engineer in constrution, until April 2005 I had a serious accident with the crane.

In the Bogotastreet in the new building construction Wateringsveld is thursday afternoon a crane toppled. The 59-yaers old driver from Spijkenisse became trapped and had to be freed by fire-fighters. The man was taken to the hospital Leyenburg. His condition is crtical, the cabinets of the crane fell to the third. There was floor af a apartment building. The point of the crane landed on a trailer nobody present at that time. The cause of the accident is still unknown. Labour shall investigate.

With reveral broken bones, coma 2 months and 8 months hospital, i'm nicely restored after I yaer rehabitation, but i'm weelchair dependent.

I am 3 day a week in an activity centre for people with physical disabilites do painting, drawing, mosaics, in cooking group and computing.

Furthermore, my hobbies are photography, i go to activities to take pictures and make then to show and discuss the photography club, color photo editing, retouching damaged photos whist and of course genealogy
